The thieves have struck again.

We wake up this morning to news of a major breach of security at Equifax, one of three nationwide credit reporting bureaus. All financial institutions send information to Equifax, and the extent of the breach is staggering.

What Happened?

The breach, which occurred at the end of July 2017, involved the potential exposure of the personal information of 143 million people, including:

David Seely, CEO of Kirtland Federal Credit Union, has received the annual New Mexico Humanitarian Award from the Jewish Community Center of Greater Albuquerque.

The award honors New Mexicans who have demonstrated an exemplary spirit of humanity and humanitarian efforts Seely was honored particularly for his work with his organization “Team Kirtland Home Away From Home” which supports Air Force men and women on their first assignment in the military.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Merger talks have ended unsuccessfully for two credits unions in New Mexico.

Kirtland Federal Credit Union supervisor Brenda Gabaldon has received the Patriotic Employer Award from the New Mexico Army National Guard, according to the bank.
